Salad leaves, Chinese vegetables and tomatoes
We source these from our partner farm Vale Fresco in the Cotswolds. This family run business have been growing tomatoes and salad leaves for over 40 years and more recently have become a large producer of British-grown oriental vegetables like pak choi.
We like their produce because the 10 hectares of greenhouses that they have on the farm allow them to extend the British season without the use of nitrates. For Mindful Chef they also have a BRC approved packing operation on their farm and work with us to correctly package salad leaves, fresh herbs and other greens correctly in the tiny quantities that we require to ensure food waste is kept to a minimum.
Part of the joy of our service is that our customers don’t end up throwing away half a bag of mouldy salad at the end of each week!
